My thoughts on creativity in education: |
Hello students and families! My name is Sarah Hunter, and I'm thrilled to have this opportunity to work with you all!
I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Arts with a Minor in Speech Communications from San Francisco State University in 2005. I'll be earning my teaching credential from California State University San Marcos in 2016, and will then be setting my sights on teaching English in high school. Who am I? Growing up, I always thought I'd be an actor or director, but as I grew and began to seriously evaluate a career I realized that my natural passion is in education. All the world's a stage, and the classroom is my favorite one! What's a day like in my classroom? Above all, my classroom is a place where we will foster a sense of community and creativity. I want to inspire every one of my students to be empowered as leaders in the present and future, and most importantly I want to bring out the good in everyone. And I'll be counting on my students to inspire and empower me in the same ways! I'm very passionate about the arts, so creativity will always have a place in my coursework. After all, it's more fun that way! Let's make it a great year! |
